MyPrescription.ie has been developed by Healthwave to help patients and doctors find affordable medicines.

Our experience has shown us that, in general, patients don’t raise the issue of cost with their doctor. Furthermore, time-poor doctors don’t have the necessary pricing information at their disposal, oftentimes using UK/US references. The result is that patients only find out the price of their prescribed medicines once they reach the pharmacy counter.

This site aims to serve as a tool for patients and doctors to search for generic alternatives and provide a price range for medicines to treat a given condition at the point of prescribing.

The site is open to all pharmacies to upload their prices.

We believe deeply in encouraging transparency, empowering patient choice and ultimately improving adherence.
